Extend Playleader - Breakfast Club and Afterschool Club, Grange Park Primary School

Hours:                     Breakfast club 7.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

                               Afterschool club 12 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (Applications                                     will be accepted for morning, afternoon or both)

Salary Range:      Scale 2 (Full time salary £26238 - £26634. Pro rata salary will depend                                     on hours worked)

Contract Term:     Permanent

Job Start:              As soon as possible

Grange Park Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic member of staff to work as a playleader in our Breakfast club and Afterschool club called Extend. The applicant should enjoy working as part of a dedicated team.  We are looking for a reliable, thorough, conscientious and enthusiastic team player, who takes pride in their work and shows a commitment to providing a high standard of service. The role includes indoor and outdoor supervision of children in all weathers, as well as the facilitation of play at lunchtimes.

The daily working hours are:

Monday to Friday 7.30am - 9am

Monday to Friday 3.00pm - 6.00pm with potential extra hours on an adhoc basis

There is also an option to work in our Extend Holiday club (Hours 8.30am - 6.00pm). This is our internal holiday club which is mainly for our children and is held during each school holiday at Grange Park Primary school. There are weekly themes and activities.

Grange Park Primary School is rated as ‘good’ by Ofsted. Our school is set in the heart of Winchmore Hill, has been recently refurbished and has extensive grounds, which include a large playing field, four playgrounds, an allotment area and a fire pit. Children are happy and enjoy school, parents support the school and their children, and the staff are friendly and hardworking.

Grange Park is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils attending the school. As the duties of this post involve regular contact with children, any offer to the successful candidate will be conditional upon a satisfactory vetting including Enhanced Disclosure and criminal records check being obtained via the Disclosure and Barring Service. In line with recent legislation, applicants must have a command of spoken English that is sufficient to effectively carry out the duties of the role.
